What originally motivated you to consider a business opportunity?
Family is everything to us and we wanted to do something more than our daily careers. As a service member and advocate for sexual assault victims, we wanted to establish something for our children that our day to day doesn't provide. We have taught our kids what it means to support and defend others, but that doesn't give the financial security we want for them in the way owning a successful business can do.
What led you to explore franchising rather than an independent business?
In all honesty, we are not business savvy people. We had been wanting to start a business and help set up a more secure future for our kids, maybe even something they could one day take over for themselves. HOTWORX has set up a great system of helping franchisees reach their goals, while also helping them through each step, knowing that not everyone has the same level of knowledge. The fact that HOTWORX has a step by step system gave us the confidence we needed to open a franchise.
What was your initial impression of your first HOTWORX session?
We LOVED the amount of time for each session. Much of our fitness experience and attending classes at other types of "studios" is very time consuming. To gain that time back is gold, but to also see the amount of calories that can be burned in 15-30 min instead of the typical 60 min showed us that goals can be reached without taking away more time from our family.
How was your experience going through the HOTWORX Discovery Process?
It was a very smooth process for us. Nancy helped to answer any questions that we had and showed us from the very beginning the level to which we would have support and guidance from corporate.
How would you describe your Orientation Day and meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team?
You can't deny the amount of information you receive in just one day, but what was most impressive was seeing how much of a "family" this really is. You always want to feel a connection with a company and there is no stronger connection than family. So many individuals on the Executive Team have worked together for years and it just shows how much support they give one another and the dedication they have to the success of their franchisees.
What advice would you give to other candidates considering the opportunity to franchise with HOTWORX?
Trust the process and don't be afraid to acknowledge that it can be overwhelming. If you can put your faith in the process and your coach, you WILL be given all the tools and knowledge that you need to thrive and overcome any challenges you might face on this journey.

What excites you the most in offering HOTWORX to your community?
We are truly excited to bring something new and innovative to our area. So many friends and family face different challenges in their life. Whether it is a health concern, lack of time, or not being able to reach their fitness goals, we feel HOTWORX can help everyone reach their individual goals and bring more balance to their daily lives.
What goals do you plan to accomplish in your first year as a HOTWORX franchisee?
We want to show our friends and family that working out doesn't have to be that hard. We want to show them that being a part of the HOTWORX "family" will show them motivation to work toward their fitness goals or at a minimum, help them lose the "dread" they feel at the thought of working out.
How will HOTWORX help you achieve your personal and professional goals?
It all starts with knowledge. Even if you know how to run a business, the push to always increase your knowledge base is the absolute foundation to reaching any goal. HOTWORX encourages everyone to continue learning, from the CEO to the client, and as we reach each goal and milestone with our studio, we will be taking steps to securing a future for our kids and showing them that hard work now doesn't mean it has to be hard work forever.
