HOTWORX congratulates franchisees, Riley and Jim Seay, who were awarded a franchise license in the Tallahassee-Thomasville market and recently opened their Tallahassee, FL (Bradfordville) studio!

What originally motivated you to consider a business opportunity?
My husband, Jim has always had interest in owning his own business one day. Although, I have to admit, he never thought it would be something like this. I joined HOTWORX and loved it, but wished it was closer to my house. My husband said, "we should open another location." I thought he was semi-joking, but he immediately started looking into franchise opportunities. Next thing I know, we have a meeting scheduled with our Recruiter. I think this franchise will be a perfect fit for us as a team. He has worked in finance for years and will be a perfect asset to the finance side of things, while I focus more on the marketing and front of the house of our location, which is what I am most passionate about.

What led you to explore franchising rather than an independent business?
Aside from the fact that I wished there was a closer location to my home, we both liked the process that HOTWORX offered. They give you a step by step approach and walk you through the entire process. I like that they know what works and show us how to make it work. It takes a lot of the pressure and worries off of us. We also love the warm welcome and support from everyone involved - corporate and other franchisees.

‍What was your initial impression of your first HOTWORX session?
Before going into the sauna: "Oh lord, this is going to be a very unpleasant and HOT experience." After the workout: "Wow, I LOVE this! How do I sign up?!"

‍How was your experience going through the HOTWORX Discovery Process?
At first I thought it was a slow process and didn't understand why we weren't getting all the information in one meeting, but then I realized this process was to make sure we understood everything without getting overwhelmed. Our Recruiter, Cynthia, was amazing. She made sure that we had all the information we needed and we became so close with her throughout the meetings that we were sad they came to an end.

‍How would you describe your Orientation Day and meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team?
I loved how everyone we met gave us such a warm welcome. I'm sure it can feel repetitive after a few times, but we felt that we were just as special as their first franchisees that came on board.

‍What advice would you give to other candidates considering the opportunity to franchise with HOTWORX?
If you have even the slightest curiosity, DO IT. So far, the experience has been better than we could have ever imagined. We were anxious at the thought of going through with it, but we realized that this is such an amazing, fast growing franchise, and that if we didn't do it, someone else would.

‍What are the top 3 reasons you chose to franchise with HOTWORX?
1. To feel accomplished within our careers. We want to feel like what we do for a living has purpose and isn't just an income.
2. To build something for our children
3. To provide the community another HOTWORX to choose from that may be a more convenient location to them

‍What excites you the most in offering HOTWORX to your community?
I am excited to provide a place that offers detoxification while you exercise and a space that does not require an individual to be in a class full of other people at different levels of exercise than them...no judgement, no intense workouts necessary. I feel this is a perfect combination of what the other working mothers within my community are looking for.

‍What goals do you plan to accomplish in your first year as a HOTWORX franchisee?
I hope to bring in a good amount of income to help us be able to build memories with our children that we currently cannot afford. It would be nice to have extra money leftover after all the bills are paid each month.

‍How will HOTWORX help you achieve your personal and professional goals?
I feel that the new location will be more convenient and will inspire me to go to a session every single day so that I can feel my best. It would be lovely to lose this baby weight and show it off in clothes that fit more comfortably like they did before kids. Most importantly, my husband and I both hope to feel accomplished within a career that gives us purpose and makes us feel like we are contributing something good to the community.
