HOTWORX welcomes new franchisees, Shayla Willis and Lindsey Harris, who were awarded a franchise license in Chattanooga, Tennessee!

What originally motivated you to consider a business opportunity?

‍Shayla: My mother passed away of lung cancer. We talked many times about starting a business together or joining a franchise. I am her only child, when she passed I was given the opportunity to invest into something bigger than me.

Lindsey: HOTWORX truly speaks to my passion for helping and improving the health outcomes of others. As a Nurse Practitioner, I treat my patients holistically, mind, body, and spirit. When speaking to my patients I am constantly discussing the importance of maintaining your health holistically. HOTWORX is a concept that helps to fuel my passion.

‍What led you to explore franchising rather than an independent business?‍

Shayla: I did not have the funds or the means to start a business on my own. I felt that a franchise would give me the tools I needed to be successful.

Lindsey: Franchising is a perfect option for me! Franchising allows me to further fuel my passion outside of my primary role as a nurse practitioner. It gives me the opportunity to continue to do what I love while providing an avenue for myself and others to shape change.

‍What was your initial impression of your first HOTWORX session?

‍Shayla: I had the opportunity to try a session at the Birmingham location. The best and fastest workout I’ve ever experienced! Really impressed with how quickly I broke a sweat and afterwards my body felt as if I did an entire hour workout in just 15 mins! As a busy mom of 3, HOTWORX fits perfectly into my routine.

Lindsey: After my first HOTWORX session, I felt full of life. It was exhilarating. Mentally I felt clear and physically I felt accomplished.

‍How was your experience going through the HOTWORX Discovery Process?

‍Shayla: Our rep, Mandy, was amazing from start to finish. She was patient with my partner and I with our hectic schedules. We were very informed of everything.

Lindsey: Informative. The Discovery Process is a great snapshot of what is to come as a franchisee of HOTWORX.

‍How would you describe your Orientation Day and meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team?

‍Shayla: 2020 was a very interesting year with lots of new changes. I love meeting new people, so it was hard doing everything virtual but it was nice putting faces to names and everyone was so down to earth and relatable. I enjoyed learning about the idea for HOTWORX to begin.

Lindsey: Different, yet enlightening. During these unprecedented times we were limited to an online platform. Everyone on the Executive Team was very welcoming.

‍What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs considering the opportunity to franchise with HOTWORX?

‍Shayla: Take the leap of faith. If you never jump, you will never get the chance to fly.

Lindsey: If you truly would like to make a difference in your community, you should try HOTWORX.

Lindsey: HOTWORX will bring health and wellness to the Chattanooga community. Healthy community equals a healthy economy.

What goals do you plan to accomplish in your first year as a HOTWORX franchisee?

‍Shayla: I would like to become a part of the 500 members club!

Lindsey: Gain greater than 500 members and become the fastest growing business in Chattanooga.

How will HOTWORX help you achieve your personal and professional goals?

‍Shayla: Working for myself and for a bigger purpose has been a dream for a long time. HOTWORX will give me the opportunity to service my community, continue to make fitness a priority, become a walking billboard for overall health and wellness and the benefits of HOTWORX. I have always loved working since I was old enough to do so; HOTWORX will give me the opportunity to use everything I have learned over the years, continue to learn, and set new goals.
